Jaycee park

Jaycee Park Renovation
1300 Seamist, Houston

Jaycee Park is a 7.4 acre park located inside of the 610 Loop.  As the oldest park in the Timbergrove neighborhood, it serves a surrounding area with a population of about 11,000 people according to the 2000 census.  Jaycee Park has not seen any major capital improvements in 30-40 years!

The Friends of Jaycee Park is a group of volunteers from five area neighborhoods that have joined forces with the Houston Parks Board and Houston Parks and Recreation Department to improve this long-neglected park that draws families from all the surrounding neighborhoods, adds value to the area, and provides a green respite where neighbors can recreate and enjoy the outdoors.
