In Moody Park
The Houston Parks Board spearheaded the $1.3 million fund-raising campaign and supervised the design and construction of the aquatic center, complete with a 25-meter competition pool, a water slide in the recreational area of the pool, a shallow wading pool for small children, a large sun deck area with shade pavilions, and a poolhouse complex modeled after the Hispanic architecture found in the rest of the park.
