Fundraising for Harwin Park Renovation Underway

Harwin Park is a much-loved neighborhood park located at 11305 Harwin, between Wilcrest and North Course Drive, an area of Houston that needs more park amenities. The local community has done a great job adding some warmth to the park by planting and caring for several trees, but the park needs more. The playground is insufficient to engage the children of the neighborhood and the park lacks an inviting atmosphere. Being almost a blank slate, the potential exists to create a beautiful place of respite and special activities for both the local community and neighboring corporations.

State Representative Kristi Thibaut, MiSwaco, Abundant Life Cathedral Church and the Houston Parks Board have come together to lead the renovation of Harwin Park.  Plans for the first phase of improvements include creating a landscaped gateway into the park which will provide an inviting curb appeal. In the heart of the park, a gathering area is planned which will include an ample pavilion and plaza for community and corporate gatherings, a much needed playground expansion, lighting, and additional tree groves and landscaping. Plans also include improvements to the existing walking/jogging trail.

We sincerely hope you will join our efforts to make Harwin Park the jewel of the neighborhood.  Several sponsorship opportunities are available.
